Workplace Solutions for Childcare

Workplace Solutions for Childcare

Workplace partnerships are effective for working parents considering childcare solutions. Workplace Solutions for Childcare, a new book from the International Labor Organization (ILO), shows why and how different workplace partners have come together to develop solutions to help workers with childcare needs. Ten countries, industrialized and developing, are examined through a national overview on policies and facilities for childcare and the implications for working parents, followed by case studies of specific workplaces.

The book features Child Care Fund programs in the United States negotiated by unions such as the 1199 SEIU, ATU Local 192, UNITE HERE Local 2 as well as the work of the Labor Project for Working Families.
